Day 1 Kathmandu Free day for arrivals

Usually flights are overnight so you should allow an extra day for the journey to Kathmandu. Once you arrive at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport we will pick you up directly from the airport transfer you to your 5* hotel. There will be the opportunity for exploration of the ancient city in your own time this day depending on your time of arrival.

Day 2 Kurintar 104km (3.5 hrs riding time)

The official first day of our motorbike tour begins as we head out of Kathmandu through the chaotic city traffic and onto the Prithvi Highway ‘one of the world’s most dangerous roads’ (according to the BBC). We will arrive in the afternoon, and cross a Nepali suspension bridge to get to the sub-tropical riverside resort with plenty of time to relax at the poolside.

Day 3 Pokhara 100km (3hrs riding time)

Today we’ll head back out to the busy mountain highway. As we head further west the road becomes quieter and more scenic. The hilltop views may give us the chance to see some white peaks if the weather is good before we head down to the bumpy road into Pokhara. Pokhara sits beside the Annapurna range of mountains where their white and glistening peaks are reflected in the waters of Lake Fewa.

Day 4 Pokhara Rest Day 

Today is a rest day. Pokhara is known to be the adventure sports hub of Nepal, with a bungee jump and zipline, white water rafting, paragliding and ultralight flights on offer. Also you can visit beautiful waterfalls and caves, the World Peace Stupa or the International Mountain Museum.

Day 5 Lumbini 165km (6hrs riding time)

Today we ride south on narrower paved roads through small villages and onto the southern flatlands of Nepal. The weather will heat up changing to the tropical climate of the Terai. Lumbini is a Buddhist place of pilgrimage. The archeological remains associated with the birth of the Buddha have been preserved and around these are many Buddhist temples and shrines inspired by the architecture of different countries around the world which practice Buddhism.

Day 6 Lumbini Rest Day

Free day to sight-see in Lumbini and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 7 Chitwan 136km (3.5hrs riding time)

The roads are mostly flat and straight with traffic heading between Nepal and India. We’ll ride along the highway all the way to our jungle resort. Our resort is situated right on the border of the national park with a water body separating us from the jungle. The patient visitor can see wild animals come to drink and cool off right from the hotel.

Day 8 Jungle Safari

Enjoy a free day, go on an elephant back safari* or jeep safari, or just relax at the resort. If you’re lucky some of the wildlife you may spot might include the Greater One-horned rhino, the Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, spotted deer, wild dogs, sloth bears and jackals, mugger crocodile as well as the long-snouted Gharial crocodile.

*In Nepal elephants are treated well as they are people’s livelihood. If anyone does not wish to opt for an elephant tour then there are also the options of jeep safari and jungle walks.

Day 9 Kathmandu 177km (6hrs riding time)

Riding back to Kathmandu we’ll head north over the middle hills on paved roads with switchbacks and stunning views of Nepal’s lustrous landscapes. 

Tonight we’re back at the 5* hotel for a celebration and farewell meal.

Day 10 Departures

This morning depending on your time of departure we can take you for a rickshaw ride through lanes of the touristy Thamel and down to Kathmandu Durbar square, an amazing UNESCO world heritage site. Walking back through the old market lanes we’ll try the local delicacies. Dropping you back to the airport in time for your onward flight.
