Bonneville Triumph Adventure Tour

Adventure bike tour through the Mojave Desert and Utah Mountains to the famous Bonneville Salt Flats

9 days/8 nights. approx. 1,600 miles.
2020 tour dates: 17 September to 25th September

This tour is suitable for riders who want to get off the beaten track on a more adventurous ride. Riding suitably equipped adventure motorcycles (Triumph Tiger 800 and Triumph Tiger 1200 available) the tour will be on a mix of tarmac and dirt roads. No previous off-road riding experience is necessary and no technical off-road riding will be involved, but riders must be confident riding on dirt roads and loose surfaces. This will be a true adventure exploring old Wild West trails, mountain passes, high plains and spectacular canyons.

DAY 1 – Arrive in Las Vegas, NV

Arrive, check into hotel, relax and explore Las Vegas. Enjoy a night out on the famous Las Vegas strip.

DAY 2 – Las Vegas, NV to Caliente, NV: (155 miles)

Today we will pick up our bikes, pack our stuff and head north, riding out of Las Vegas into the open desert. We will start on tarmac roads but soon turn off to explores some of the washout roads and other quieter dirt tracks that cut across the desert.

DAY 3  – Caliente, NV to Ely, NV: (132 miles)

This will be a 2nd day of exploring some of the dirt roads that run through the Nevada desert. From Caliente we will head north to Ely.

DAY 4 – Ely, NV to Wendover, NV: (120 miles)

This will be another day of riding through the desert in a mixture of tarmac and dirt roads. We will cross over from nevada into Utah, following the route of the old Pony Express Trail. We will also ride a section of Highway 50, dubbed the loneliest road in America!

DAY 5 – Wendover, NV to Heber City, UT (155 miles)

This morning we will visit the famous Bonneville Salt Flats. We will then head into Salt Lake City before climbing into the mountains for a ride through some spectacular and twisty passes.

DAY 6  – Heber City, UT to Bryce Canyon, UT (280 miles)

This will be a day of riding through the mountains. We will stay off the main roads to take the quieter mountain roads, including passing through Circleville, which is where Butch Cassidy grew up.

DAY 7 – Bryce Canyon free day (30 to 200 miles)

We will stay 2 nights near Bryce Canyon to have an opportunity to explore the trails and back roads in the area. Are you up to riding Hell’s Backbone or Box-Death Hollow?

DAY 8  Bryce Canyon, UT to Las Vegas, NV (288 miles)

Today we head south over the high mountain pass through Dixie National Forrest and Panguitch Lake. We briefly visit Arizona before crossing into Nevada and riding through The Valley of Fire. In the late afternoon we will return to Las Vegas where we will return our bikes for one last night out in Sin City.

DAY 9 – departure day

After a final night in Las Vegas we will go our separate ways.

Prices are per person and include the following:- 8 nights hotel accommodation (breakfast included at most Hotels), 7 days Triumph motorcycle rental including sales & environmental taxes,  VIP PLUS theft & damage waivers, oil and fuelsupport vehicle (carries all luggage), National Park Passes, friendly tour guides!

Flights are not included (we are able to book flights for you if you wish)

A deposit of £300 per bike is required if you reserve your place more than 24 weeks before the tour starts.  50% of the tour price is to be paid 24 weeks before the tour starts and the balance is paid 12 weeks before our Bonneville Salt Flats guided motorcycle tours starts. We hold a pre-tour meeting around 6 – 8 weeks before departure where we give a detailed talk on what to expect on your guided tour, information on riding in the USA, what to wear and bring, and we provide you with an information pack.  The meeting also give you the opportunity to ask questions, meet fellow riders, and revs up your excitement for our Bonneville Salt Flats guided motorcycle tours! Please note that we reserve the right to route the tour to suit weather conditions or other issues that may affect the chosen route.  All mileages are approximate.
