Day 1: Departure - Arrival Seattle, Washington

Welcome to Seattle!

When all tour participants have arrived, we meet for an information meeting, where we cover information about your tour on the West Coast Tour. We also cover practical information & preparations regarding mc and car rental checkout.  The bike you have booked for the tour is prepared; all necessary insurance is included. The evening’s program is getting to know each other, and we eat dinner together in true American style. Those who are not tired after the long journey may go to a local bar nearby.

2

Day 2: Seattle - Ocean Shores

(Driving day 1: 395 km/247miles)

We begin our Magical West Coast tour! When everyone is ready on their bikes, we embark on our 2.640 km long journey on legendary Pacific 101/ HWY-1 that stretches down the West Coast from wet & wild Seattle to San Diego. Seattle disappears behind us as we head south for a unique adventure full of adventure & fun.

The tour begins with a ferry ride. Residents and tourists pile together on board in Edmond’s Ferry, which takes us across Puget Sound. We drive to the Olympic National Park before we continue on the road to Ocean Shores. Ocean shores are the most popular destination in the state of Washington for beach enthusiasts since the town has about 10 km of easily accessible sandy beaches, in addition to many fun activities for all ages.

3

Day 3: Ocean Shores - Newport

(Driving day 2: 381 km/238 miles)

We leave Ocean Shores and head south. We spend most of the day on magical Pacific Highway 101, which runs between the states of Washington and Oregon. If you love curvy & twisted roads, you will really enjoy yourself on the West Coast tour. We drive past Port Bruce and “Lewis and Clark National Historical Park”. We will also spend some time on a two-lane bridge with large, treacherous waves breaking below us until we arrive at Cannon Beach. Cannon Beach is located almost on the border of Oregon and is characterized by its famous landmark Haystack Rock. Here we secure one of the tour’s best vacation pictures.

Cannon Beach is a memorable little town, where major US chains like Safeway and McDonalds have been advised to stay away, to maintain the local economy and the good old small-town feeling. We eat a good lunch here. We continue south in spectacular surroundings and wonderful roads; colorful cliffs along the Pacific Coast Highway 101, waves splashing on one side and hills on the other. Guarantee an experience you will remember. Our final stop is Newport, Oregon, a small coastal town we are going to enjoy this evening.

4

Day 4: Newport - Crescent City

(Driving day 3: 378 km/236 miles)

We continue south along the pacific coast and drive through many beautiful small coastal towns; Florence, Reedsport, Coos Bay, Bandon, and Brookings. Our end stop is the picturesque beach town of Crescent City, named and known for its crescent-shaped and rocky coastline. The drive into Crescent City marks the beginning of our adventure in “The Golden State” California, where we will spend the rest of our adventure along the spectacular Pacific coast and legendary Pacific Highway 1.

5

Day 5: Crescent City - Fort Bragg

(Driving day 4: 350 km/219 miles)

Spectacular is the most descriptive word for what you will experience on our day through Redwood National Park on the road to Fort Bragg. Redwood trees in this part of California, are some of the tallest and most massive trees on earth. These threes tower 100 meters high and are up to 7.5 meters wide. We continue south through the damp fog to Fort Bragg. This is also the day we leave the Pacific HWY 101 and begin driving on legendary Pacific Highway 1. Enjoy!

6

Day 6: Fort Bragg - San Francisco

(Driving day 5: 287  km/179 miles)

Today’s ride will be nothing but breathtaking, on our way to Mendocino and San Francisco. A picturesque coastline, rugged terrain, and sapphire waves crashing against us. We drive to Mendocino, a haven for those who are artistically interested. We continue driving on the stunning Pacific Highway 1.

We continue to the Golden Gate Bridge, where we will take the time to enjoy the view of the bridge and beautiful San Francisco. Afterward, we drive across this famous bridge and into San Francisco, where we will stay near the Embarcadero and all its attractions.

7

Day 7: San Francisco - Monterey

(Driving day 6: 192 km/120 miles)

Get ready for some amazing driving experiences – this day is one of the tours’ definite highlights! We drive on the legendary Pacific Highway 1, the spectacular coastline, and experience our first taste of one of the most amazing motorcycle roads in the world. Stunning views of caves and rock formations, there will be plenty of opportunities to take great pictures. We also stop by the famous biker bar “Alice’s” & drive through Big Basin Redwood State Park, which is packed with curvy & narrow motorcycle roads and the famous wide Redwood trees. We make several stops along Pacific Highway 1 and the Redwood forest before we head to Monterey.

Monterey is home to the world-famous Laguna Seca Automobile (known motorcycle race track). When we arrive at this spectacular seaside city, we will spend the afternoon along Cannery Row, which is packed with beautiful hotels, shops, and restaurants. We eat dinner at the famous Fisherman’s Wharf.

8

Day 8: Monterey - Solvang

(Driving day 7: 339 km/212 miles)

We will say it again: it is hard to believe that nature can be more beautiful, but today’s ride will simply take your breath away. We drive the highly appraised Pacific Highway 1 with mountains on our left side and the Pacific Ocean on our right side. As we continue past the Big Sur, you will feel the warm California sun together with delicious salty sea air on your skin. There will be several miles with fantastic views and great formations where the Santa Lucia Mountains meet the Pacific Ocean, creating one of the most beautiful stretches of the California coast. Today you will feel a delicious warm breeze and take in a spectacular sunset.

We drive through the beach resort Pismo Beach to the “Danish” city; Solvang (sister town of Aarhus), where we live in a Danish Gjæstgiveri, eat at a Danish beer restaurant, and eat breakfast at a Danish bakery. We can even go behind the scenes to greet the Danish baker.

9

Day 9: Solvang - Los Angeles

(Driving day 8: 238 km/149 miles)

We say goodbye to Solvang and continue our wonderful trip to southern California, Hollywood, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. We stop in Santa Barbara, referred to by many as America’s Riviera because of its similar climate and geography of the French and Italian Riviera.

Having digested Santa Barbara, we cruise down Pacific Coast Highway 1 to the famous Neptune’s Net biker restaurant & Malibu. Thereafter, we head straight to Los Angeles. We return the bikes, take off our boots, and replace driving gear with light summer clothing. We spend the afternoon in the vicinity of the hotel. Here we also have a farewell dinner together and get ready for the journey home.

10

Day 10: Departure Los Angeles - Home Travel
