Day 1: Departure - Arrival Seattle, Wa

Welcome to one of the most beautiful cities in the US; Seattle, Washington, which is easy to remember because of its recognizable horizon that includes the Space Needle and the giant volcano “Mount Rainier”. When all tour participants have arrived, we meet for a welcome meeting and refreshment, with introductions. We cover information about your Canada Tour and your stay in Seattle. We also cover practical information & preparations regarding mc and car rental checkout. The evening’s program is getting to know each other, and we eat dinner together in true American style.

Day 2: Seattle

(Explorer &  fun day)

We start the day with an info meeting, where we cover information about your Canadian Rockies Tour. We also cover practical information & preparations regarding mc and car rental checkout. Afterward, we enjoy a stroll down the famous Seattle waterfront, a ferry or a Duck boat tour on Elliot Bay, an “Underground tour” to explore the tunnels in Seattle’s underground, visit the Space Needle or the Jimi Hendrix Experience (museum), or try your hand throwing salmon at the world-famous Pike’s Place Market.

Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain/Nirvana Pearl Jam, and Dr. Frasier Crane grew up in Seattle. The city is also known as America’s coffee capital as both “Starbucks’ Seattle’s Best Coffee” and “Tully’s Coffee” was founded here.  We eat dinner at a good fish restaurant at Seattle’s Waterfront.

Many Scandinavian immigrants live in Seattle. The Ballard district, a little north of the city center, is also the “Nordic Heritage Museum” which claims to be the only US museum devoted to Scandinavian immigration history. Seattle is Bergen’s (Norway) friendship city, naturally, since Seattle is also called “Rain City”.

Day 3: Seattle - Victoria, British Colombia, Canada

(Driving day 1: 172 km/107 miles)

We begin our Magical Canada tour! When everyone is ready on their bikes, we embark on our 3.000 km long journey in the beautiful Canadian Rockies & National Parks. Seattle disappears behind us as we head north for a unique adventure full of adventure & fun. The tour begins with a ferry ride. Residents and tourists pile together on board in Edmond’s Ferry, which takes us across Puget Sound. We drive past Olympic National Park before we continue on the road to Port Angeles, where we take the ferry to Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, Canada.

Victoria is named after Queen Victoria of the UK. Victoria is one of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest, with British settlement beginning in 1843. The city has retained a large number of its historic buildings, in particular its two most famous landmarks, Parliament Buildings, and the Empress hotel. The city’s Chinatown is the second oldest in North America after San Francisco’s.

Known as “The Garden City”, Victoria is an attractive city and a popular tourism destination with a thriving technology sector that has risen to be its largest revenue-generating private industry. We recommend visiting “The Gardens”, one of the cities’ most popular tourist attractions.

Day 4: Victoria - Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada

(Driving day 2: 115 km/72 miles)

We take another ferry to exciting Vancouver, the jewel of western Canada. The city is dotted lavishly with greenery, posed against the rugged peaks of the perpetually blue Coast Range, and ringed with sparkling Pacific waters.  Vancouver’s character is West Coast with a liberal Oriental essence. Vancouver is the financial, industrial, shipping, and cultural center of Canada’s west coast. The city has much that is reminiscent of other parts of Canada and much of Europe as well as the Orient and the United States. The resulting blend is happy, carefree and relaxed.

Vancouver has consistently been named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life. Vancouver hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Major film production studios in Vancouver and nearby have turned Greater Vancouver and nearby areas into one of the largest film production centers in North America, earning the nickname “Hollywood North”. A visit to Stanley Park will satisfy your need for shopping & an exciting bar scene.
